Lookin' Back

December 9, 2007 - 13 cowboys and cowgirls met for the first time in the Dance Hall at the Wagon Master RV Park in Sanger. This was the result of a year of prayer and planning. By the end of December 2007 the number of worshipers had risen to 24. Using cowboy and western music and remaining true to the mission statement established in those first days, Ridin' For The Brand continues to reach out to the lost and unchurched to share the love and grace of God.

August 2008 - RFTBCC made history again. Reaching out as part of its mission, we brought Cowboy Church to the North Texas State Fair and Rodeo for the first time in the 80 year history of the Fair. Mid-month RFTBCC participated in both the Sanger Days Celebration and Sanger Homecoming. RFTBCC entered a float and an equine unit in the homecoming parade. God blessed our outreach and both units won first place in their respective divisions. Late in the month, RFTBCC held a Team Sort at the McMahon's residence where we had a pot luck dinner and enjoyed all the cowboys and cowgirls ridin' down those cows.
